Welcome to Oceanside’s International Women's Day Challenge 2025; our 6-week challenge starting on February 24 which we’ve created to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 in a practical way by helping raise funds to support the work of Aid for Education, an inspiring volunteer-led charity, which helps some of Rwanda's poorest children and their families who have no access to education, basic medical care or shelter.
Founded in 2017, the charity’s Tubarere Nursery and Primary School in Rwamagana in Eastern Rwanda is now attended by 380 children.
In late 2024 Oceanside School District took part in its first fundraising challenge for Tubarere and helped raise the money needed to buy a clean water filter for the school. This time round, our donations will go towards buying the furniture needed to bring a new classroom into use.
Please join us and help make it easier for the children to make the most of their chance of a good education.
